Talk to Nyura: The Voice Assistant That Actually Gets Things Done
Create tasks, check emails, navigate your day — all by voice. Plus: pixel-perfect UI polish and accessibility upgrades.
Your Voice, Your Workflow
Imagine opening Nyura and just saying “Create a task to call the dentist, due Friday.” Done. Or “What emails am I waiting on?” and getting a summary read back to you. That’s what Nyura’s voice assistant does now.
With 16 voice-activated tools, Nyura handles tasks, emails, calendar, contacts, travel, projects, and even daily standup reports — all hands-free. The voice button is now available on every page, not just the home screen, so you can activate it whenever inspiration strikes.
Smarter Reminders, Natural Dates
Say “Remind me about the report next Thursday” and Nyura understands. Not just tomorrow or in one hour — the voice assistant now parses weeks, specific day names, ISO dates, and relative durations. It uses the date-fns library under the hood, so “in 2 weeks” or “next Monday at 9am” just works.
You can also delete tasks by voice now. Say “Remove the call mom task” and Nyura finds it using fuzzy matching, confirms, and deletes it. No need to scroll through your task list.
A Beautiful Glow That Listens
The voice assistant now features a premium rotating glow ring around the orb. When Nyura is listening, the ring slowly rotates in violet. When she’s speaking, it shifts to emerald green and speeds up. It’s a small touch, but it makes the interaction feel alive and premium.
The driving mode also received the same glow treatment — a larger, more dramatic ring that’s easy to see at a glance while you’re on the go. The screen stays awake automatically, and you can swipe down to exit.
Pixel-Perfect, Down to the Last Detail
We obsessed over the details in this release. Dashboard stat cards now have more breathing room, consistent icon sizes, and proper dark mode colors. The snooze popover buttons light up correctly in dark mode. Every navigation badge across the app is now perfectly aligned — down to the pixel.
Focus rings now appear consistently when using keyboard navigation — on filter tabs, sidebar items, reminder buttons, and the mobile menu. We replaced 8 instances of inefficient transition-all with targeted transitions that only animate what actually changes. The result: smoother animations and less work for your device.
Accessibility First
The voice assistant is now screen-reader friendly. The orb announces its state changes to assistive technology. The conversation transcript is marked as a live log region, so screen readers can follow along in real-time. Every button in the mobile menu now has a visible focus indicator for keyboard users.
Under the hood, we fixed several stale closure bugs that could cause outdated data to be shown, improved memory stability with proper useMemo wrappers, and made the Gmail fetch 5x faster by switching from sequential to parallel requests. These are the invisible improvements that make everything feel snappier.
