Why Privacy Matters More Than Ever

Your productivity app knows a lot about you. Tasks, meetings, contacts, travel plans, habits — it’s basically a map of your life. That’s why how an app handles your data matters just as much as what it does with it.

At Nyura, privacy isn’t an afterthought. It’s a core design principle. Every feature starts with: what’s the minimum data we need, and how do we protect it?

With v4.46.2, we audited our entire database and made sure that “delete my account” means everything — not just the obvious stuff.

Complete Account Deletion: 100+ Tables Covered

When you delete your Nyura account, we don’t just remove your profile. We systematically wipe every piece of data across our entire database.

In v4.46.2, we audited all 110+ tables and discovered 49 weren’t yet covered:

  • Music data — playlists, favorites, play history, Suno AI generations
  • AI conversations — chat history, prompts, cached briefings
  • Project management — milestones, time entries, automation rules
  • Contact extras — interaction logs, custom tags, enrichment data
  • Authentication — passkeys, push tokens, integration settings
  • Google connections — OAuth tokens, sync timestamps

All 49 gaps fixed in a single migration. Zero orphaned data.

Apple and Google Require It — We Go Further

Apple’s Guideline 5.1.1(v) requires account deletion. Google Play too. But many apps only delete the profile, leaving fragments behind.

Nyura’s approach: Two dedicated functions cascade through every table in the correct order. We also intentionally exclude audit tables (no personal data, just compliance metadata).

Both self-service deletion and admin deletion use the same comprehensive cleanup.

Clean Code, Fewer Bugs

We also did spring cleaning: removed 140 unused translation keys across 7 languages (14 files). These were leftovers from beta features and “coming soon” badges now fully shipped.

Fewer unused strings = smaller bundle, faster loads, less translator confusion.

We also registered the Telegram webhook, verified all API keys, and ran a complete TypeScript check — zero errors.

What’s Next for Privacy

Privacy is a journey, not a destination. On our roadmap:

  • Data export — Download all your data in standard format (GDPR portability)
  • Granular permissions — Choose which modules access location, contacts, calendar
  • Audit trail — See a log of every data access
  • End-to-end encryption — For your most sensitive notes and AI conversations

The best productivity app is one you can trust completely. Every update brings us closer.
